Happy New Year lovely people!

Bernina Social Club is Wednesdaht 15^th January 6pm and Thursday 16^th 10am.  This month we are putting ALL our scissors reduced by 10%. We have an amazing range of scissors for you to persue.  Also available on the night only !0% off all dressmaking fabrics and remnants.
 
It’s just great to be able to announce to your our Summer Series of sewing offerings. As with all our classes you can purchase all your supplies in store. If you need to arrange the use of a sewing machine please let us know when you enrol. To secure your place in a class please either pay a 50% deposit or the full price of the class. Ring us anytime to chat or book in.
 
Mondays 4-6pm Hipstitch
Beginner sewing classes for teenage girls keen to sew. We work term by term creating clothes, bags, pouches and whatever takes the groups fancy.  Machines supplied. Fabric and patterns available at the shop.    8 weeks sessions: $100. Kits and patterns are also available.
 
Quick Sew classes
Wednesday 10-12 OR 6-8pm
$190 for five projects.  Or $250 with the kits included.
Designed for people who want to sew a short project within two sessions.
We are making: shopping bag, I spy placemat, apron, pillowcase, tote.
Please let us know if you need to borrow a machine from us.
 
Patchwork and Quilting 1
Thursday 10-12 OR 6-8pm
Classes are $28 per session.   Kits can be made up for you.
Come along and learn the skills and techniques needed to create your own quilt, placemat, patchwork cushion or table runner.
 
Valentine Mini quilt
Create a mini quilt or cushion using a patchwork heart pattern.  This class will take 3 or 4 sessions.  Classes will start mid January. Please ring us if you are interested.
 
Mending – by hand
Learn to mend your clothes, when you don’t have a sewing machine available.  We will hem pants, shorten jeans, sew on buttons, make in seam repairs and patch holes, discretely or by adding a colourful addition.  We will teach you the stitches you need, how to manage a needle and other equipment.  Class is for 2 x 2hour sessions. Cost $80, kit included.  The kit contains basic hand sewing supplies and some basic threads, wool, repair tapes etc. Dates to be arranged as demand comes in.
