Linen Loft - August Newsletter 2026

The cold and chilly weather is truly upon us so my sewing machine and quilting have become my best friends.  Our Christmas fat quarters are selling at $7.50 in July if you too feel the urge to prepare for Christmas when the weather keeps us inside.

Bernina Club starting up on again Tuesday 25^th August 6-7:30 and Wednesday 26^th August 10-11:30pm.  This month we are showcasing our patchworking and quilting skills. Come along and get started with your skills!

This months special: A slightly pre-loved Bernina 990 is looking for a new home. It’s at the older price of $23,999 or near offer.  Please call in and see this marvellous machine. It comes with all the newly purchased accessories.

August  Classes

Quick Sew August : for absolute beginners and those wanting to regain their confidence.

Four projects in four weeks. 

Wednesday 6-8pm  12^th  August and runs for 4 weeks.

All materials included in price: $200. 

Bring your own machine or borrow from us. 

Ring and book your place. 

Sew your ‘Robe  A-line skirt

For graduates of the Quick Sew class or people who can use a machine and just want to learn to sew a garment. Ring in now – classes start on Tuesday 11^th August 6-8pm for three weeks. We will fit and make the pattern in one on one classes before this date. Cost $150.00.

September: Sew your ‘Robe – pants. Ring in with expressions of interest.

Patchwork – Quilt your own tote bag.

Learn the right fabrics, threads and techniques to cut sew and create.

Saturdays 10-2 or Thursday 10-2. Cost is $50 for the lesson.   Kits are available at the shop upon request. Bring your own machine and learn the rudiments of 1/4'” seams, pressing correctly and we might even try a bit of quilting!
