Winter is nearly over so our shop hours are extending to
Monday – Friday 8-5 pm.  Saturday 10-1pm.
We have been busy upgrading our “look” so pop in and see us and enjoy the showcasing of our machines and fabrics.
We are busy making room for new stock so please enjoy our sales.
We have  13” samples of our new Wisewool (100% wool) and Hobbs fusible 80/20 cotton/polyester batting to give away this week so you can try these grand new products. Come in and we will discuss which one best suits your needs and you can take one away to trial.
 
Fabric Specials
All our dressmaking fabric is $20 per metre for September. (excluding woolen fabrics)
 
Quilting cotton deal: Purchase 4 different fabrics of half metre lengths for just $40.00.   That’s just $20.00 per metre. You choose the 4 fabrics.
 
Last years quilting panels are down to $15.00 each.

The wonderful accessory case is 20% off this month – just $143.00. This case will hold 43 presser feet, bobbins, needles etc. Ultra handy and ultra hip!

Classes
 
Mondays  HIPSTITCH  3:45 – 5:30pm
Beginner sewing classes for teenage girls keen to sew. We work term by term creating clothes, bags, pouches and whatever the group decides. Next term we are sewing the Etta dress by Merchant and Mills in linen.  Classes are $100 for an 8 week term, with kits extra. Machines supplied. Fabric and patterns available at the shop.     First class for term 4 is Monday 13 October 2025.
 
Quick Sew B.    Thursday 10-12am.  OR   Thursdays 5:30-7:30pm.
$100 for the five projects.  Extra if we provide the kits.
Designed for people who want to sew a short project within a session. You may have already been through our first class (it doesn’t matter if you haven’t) and are wanting to continue with projects that only take a few hours. 
Please let us know if you need to borrow a machine from us.
Classes start by arrangement.
 
SCHOOL HOLIDAYS
Our beginning class for keen young sewists is called hipstitch.
Days: Monday – Thursday
Dates:  hipstitch 1 is  22-26 October
Time: 12:30-3:30pm  (this allows for a half hour at the beginning and end of the sessions for set up, purchasing and then pack up and chat)
What to bring: your Bernina or Bernette sewing machine if you have one or let us know and we may be able to help.
Cost: $ 100 per student. This includes supplies.
 
ATTENTION: All you keen embroidery fans out there who want to get the best out of your Bernina/Bernette embroidery machines. Please contact me as I have a new project we can work on. I’m envisaging Saturday mornings or afternoons once a month where we work through blocks of the different types of embroidery and create a quilt with all the components. We will start as soon as there are 4 of us ready to embroider!!!
