Linen Loft Newsletter Newsletter February 2026

Posted by Bernina Hamilton on

Welcome back to the wonderful world of sewing!

We are flat out servicing school machines, and it’s heartening to see how many customers are bringing in their own machines to be taken care of too. A friend asked me the other day, “Do people still sew?” It was great to be able to tell him just how many people love to sew—whether as a hobby, a passion, or a practical skill. In fact, many fellas bring in their machines for servicing because they either sew themselves or are the ones in the family who do the mending.

Star Machine of the Month
Our stars this month are the Bernina 325 and 335, both featuring a golden foot. If I didn’t already have a reliable, steady dressmaking machine, I’d be looking very closely at these. The B335 would be my pick because it has the buttonhole foot with a slide and the option of adding a knee lift later on.
Call in anytime to see our range of machines and take the opportunity to see them in action.

Bernina Club starting up again in March
We’re starting this up again for the year. Come along and enjoy a 10% discount on all haberdashery items.
We’ll meet on the last Tuesday of each month, starting Tuesday 31 MARCH , 6:00–7:30pm.

Foot of the Month
This month’s feature is the #51 Roller Foot—a trusty little foot that helps you sew “sticky” fabrics like vinyl and leather. It’s also handy for quilting.
Available in store this month at 20% off.
