Spring has sprung and we are in the turbulent weeks of windy wet weather interleaved with clear sunny skies.  While you are spring cleaning give yourself a break and call in to see our specials and sign up for a class or two.

Ribbons, lace and elastics and buttons
As of today in October we will be selling them at the rate of 2 for the price of one.  Ie. You get 2 metres for the price of a metre. Or 2 buttons for the price of 1.
 
Our quilting fabric special is ongoing till the 15^th October. Quilting cotton deal: Purchase 4 different fabrics of half metre lengths for just $40.00.   That’s just $20.00 per metre. You choose the 4 fabrics.
 
Classes
 
HIPSTITCH for high school age students. Monday nights for 8 weeks starting Monday 13 October. $100 for the term. This term we are sewing the Merchant and Mills pattern Etta. A fabulous pattern that can be long sleeved or tunic style. Fabric to be purchased instore.
 
Dressmaking 101 – Sew Hansen pants from Tessuti.  A great pattern that will look good on everyone. Classes Tuesday nights 6:00-8:30pm for three weeks starting Tuesday 14^th October.
 
Machine Embroidery
Our first class will start on the Saturday, second week in November. Ring and discuss this with Debbie. Phone 022 428 9212.
 
Quick Sew B.    Wednesday 10-12am.  OR   Wednesday  5:30-7:30pm.
$100 for the five projects.  Extra if we provide the kits.
Designed for people who want to sew a short project within a session. You may have already been through our first class (it doesn’t matter if you haven’t) and are wanting to continue with projects that only take a few hours. 
Please let us know if you need to borrow a machine from us. Classes start 15 October. 
 
Patchwork taster
Come in and make a patchwork cushion with us. No machine necessary. We supply everything and you come and see what you think of patchwork and quilting. Class is Saturday 1 November 10-2pm.  $30 for the session. We will have kits available for purchase. 
 
Sampler patchwork quilt
Come and learn the skill of quilting. We create a sampler quilt that is both stunning and a real skill builder for budding sewists. Classes will be once a month every third Saturday of the month.  Ring the shop for more details.
